Designing for Real Life: Insights & Innovation in Hygiene and Apparel
As consumer expectations evolve, comfort, adaptability, and inclusivity are becoming essential across both apparel and personal care segments. This session explores how deep consumer insights—centered on real-world needs and experiences—are driving innovation for people of all ages and body types. Drawing on recent market research and end-user feedback, we’ll examine unmet needs and emerging trends that are shaping product design for a diverse range of consumers.
We’ll highlight the journey of LYCRA® ADAPTIV fiber, a breakthrough technology that launched in apparel and is now being introduced to personal care. Attendees will see how advanced testing methods, including sensor-based wear trials, are used to validate comfort and adaptability in real-life scenarios. The session will also discuss why hygiene is the next frontier for this innovation, and how collaboration can accelerate solutions for body diversity, aging populations, and changing lifestyles.
