BIOGRAPHY

Steve Davies is CEO of M-SPIRE (Minnesota Sustainable Plastics Innovation Regional Engine) and President of Davies Advisors, bringing over 30 years of global leadership experience in the materials industry across plastics, fibers, chemicals, and biopolymers. He is recognized for advancing circular economy solutions, commercializing novel materials, and building multi-sector partnerships that unite industry, government, academia, and NGOs. Previously, Steve spent two decades at NatureWorks, where he helped transform the company from a startup into a global biomaterials leader, driving the launch of the world’s first large-scale bioplastic and delivering sustained growth. A UK-born dual citizen of the U.S. and Britain, he holds advanced degrees in chemical engineering and business and has led globally dispersed teams across Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
