BIOGRAPHY
Louis Chapdelaine is the Director of Consumer Product Development at ZymoChem, the biotechnology company pioneering sustainable chemical production, where he develops applications for the company’s breakthrough, high-performance materials into everyday items.
Following his studies in Engineering at Sherbrooke University in Canada, Louis spent over 30 years in the personal hygiene industry in various roles including Research & Development, Process Engineering, and Quality Assurance at organizations like Seventh Generation, Unilever, and Kimberly-Clark.
Now in his role at ZymoChem, Louis collaborates closely with the hygiene industry to adopt BAYSE™ Bio-Super Absorbent, the world’s first scalable bio-based, biodegradable, and micro-plastic free SAP as a drop-in replacement for the polyacrylic absorbents. With performance attributes on par with the incumbent material, Louis is excited to pair his personal, eco-driven values with a true step forward in sustainability for the whole industry.
