Medical and Pharmaceutical Advancements for Incontinence
Urinary incontinence (UI) is a common condition seen in women and men of all ages. In the United States, UI is seen in at least 55% of nursing home residents, primarily women. UI is the second leading cause of institutionalization of the elderly. UI may be a marker of an impaired general health condition and an indirect cause of death (e.g. secondary to a fall). This lecture will provide the current information on UI evidence-based treatment and management recommendations.
